Teaching the next

generation of storytellers

Based at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Planet Forward teaches and trains students at GW and across the country.

Through the Planet Forward Consortium, students from 25+ colleges and universities gain access to our learning modules and workshops, they participate virtually and in-person at our live events, and they compete in our prestigious annual storytelling contest, Storyfest.

Your support allows the Planet Forward team to deploy to our Consortium schools for on campus engagement and teaching. Each year, hundreds of students gain access and receive training through Planet Forward workshops, webinars and curricular offerings.

We also work with our partners to create unique field reporting experiences for Planet Forward students. Previous offerings have supported our student's reporting on modern agriculture sustainability practices and research at farms on both U.S. coasts,

an in-depth tour of auto manufacturing facilities in Germany and Tennessee, and even field research on malnutrition in Guatemala.

Planet Forward is also a core element of Middlebury College’s School of the Environment program in Kunming, China, a six-week environmental leadership and communications program for U.S.-based undergraduate students.
